Mission Statement

Recognizing our uniqueness as teachers in Catholic schools, we are an Association committed to the advancement of Catholic education. As teacher advocates we provide professional services, support, protection and leadership.

ALOECTA Facts

Almost 1000 strong, we teach in classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in publicly funded English Catholic schools. We are talented, passionate, and qualified, and we care deeply about the quality of education in our province. As an Association, we promote the principles of Catholic education, defend the constitutional rights of the Catholic school system in Ontario, advocate for the professional and contractual welfare of teachers, and work to achieve social and economic justice.
